“Therefore, urge you, Brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.” (Romans 12:1 NIV)
As we consider walking in purpose, in God’s divine order worship must always come before work. The act of worship is what enables us to receive renewal, to receive empowerment, to receive transformation and to enter into our promise.
Without taking this first step we will not be able to discern the true will of God, and His acceptable purpose for our lives. Any other step is a misstep and must be corrected urgently. When we read Daniel chapter 4 verses 34 to 37 we see that Nebuchadnezzar in his arrogance placed his work before his worship and suffered insanity. It was only after he acknowledged God and placed him first in his life that God restored his work.
Are you placing your work in front of your worship? Stop it now! We Are worshippers first and workers second. If you reverse the sequence you will be served what you have ordered. Restore order to your life now!
